For nostalgia's sake

So here's that Java Flash NES website that's been providing me with an extra form of entertainment outside of music and movies... So many memories, especially Tecmo Super Bowl! I also forgot how awesome and challenging Zelda 2 was. Anyways, enough of my two cents; find a classic game, and have fun!

  2. So I tried Immortal. Did we ever get past the fourth or fifth room?

    1. All I remember about Immortal is thinking that it used to look cool, but the cartridge we used to rent from Hollywood Video (was it called Video Zone before that?) was busted and would show only a half screen, making it impossible to play very well.

  3. Screwed again! So I have published two posts and after I publish them they show up on the site. Then I come back a bit later and they're gone. One was about the next mix and I just put up a post that linked to a survey so we could rate the songs on CD1.

  5. Speaking of nostalgia, remember Nesticle?

It has the most awesome name, the best severed hand cursor I have ever seen, and it allowed me to play Mike Tyson's Punch-Out at the field station.

    1. Is severed hand a codeword? When I installed NESticle seven years ago or so the desktop icon was a pair of hairy nutz and a partial shaft. Changed that icon quickly!

    2. I always thought it was a severed hand.....(Childhood innocence lost). The program that I have used most recently is FCEUX. It's supposed to be better than nesticle now, or so say the nerds.

    3. I believe the testies and shaft were the logo, and the severed hand was the mouse cursor.

    5. I use JNES. Seems to work pretty well. Then I even got a Super Nintendo (ZSNES) and N64 emulator to play some games.

  6. It also took me a while before I realized what the desktop icon was, too! I also remember playing punch out my first year at the west side...
