Fall Mix CD 2012
So I was really going to sit down and burn the CDs on Saturday, but then my computer crashed. So I am going to try and back up all the info that I can before I reinstall the OS this weekend. I just need to appropriate an external hard drive... If all goes well, I should have the CD's in the mail at the beginning of next week.

That sucks. Computer crashing is so early 2000's.
ReplyDeleteYeah, well thats what I get for not backing up important files. You'd have thunk that I would have learned my lesson about redundancy when I put all Eva's baby pictures and movies and all my music on an external hard drive and that bit the dust. I got my OS back online and I am trying to get my playlist back together. All my old files are in a file that I can't open unless I pay $50-$100 for a program. I even had a pretty sweet album cover... but we'll see what becomes of it all.
ReplyDeleteJust got it in the mail yesterday and listening at work. Had a little problem playing in my car. Only 30 seconds of the first song played and then silence but the next few tracks were working. But ripping them to the compy seems to have worked.

DeleteFor all my backups I have two external hard drives with all things on both. Plus, I found a tool called SyncToy which I put on every computer and it checks all the files and only copies updated and new files so you don't have to keep copying over the same files.
ReplyDeleteGot the CD a couple of days ago. Haven't touched it yet cuz school work is eating all my free time. And Battle Star Galactica. My last school day is the 17th. Maybe we can plan a "cast" of sorts for that week?
ReplyDeleteBSG is a pretty good series. Too bad it gets less comical as seasons progress. BTW, I hope you's talkin' 'bout the new series. I've listened to Mix#4 for a few days now. Probably ready for a review smackdown. =]
ReplyDeleteYeah, the new series. They just landed on Earth. I was hoping for an attack from the Earthlings as an opportunity to kill off some of the annoying characters.

ReplyDeleteI am good with another videocast. I thought the last one was fun... barring technical difficulties. Next week would be good any night but monday or wednesday. Saturday sometime during the day would probably be best though.

I work evenings this week Thursday through Sunday, so I'll be able to play Tuesday night.
Also, instead of using the YouTube app, I'm thinking I can just pump the music through my audio stream so we can all hear it at the same time. As long as we don't play the entire song without any talking over it, I think we'll be copyright infringement safe.
Tuesday, as in tomorrow? I think I can do that.the later then better for me.

ReplyDeleteI can try and get home by 5 pst. That would probably be better for me. I am usually in demand around 7-8 for bedtime routine stuffs.
